Leyla Aliyeva is aware that this topic is often presented as boring and complicated. So, in 2011, she began the IDEA campaign. The campaign is an International Dialogue for Environmental Action. One of the goals of the campaign was to make the environment/stability more interesting and appealing particularly for younger people and the coming generation.

In an interview to Equinox.com Aliyeva discussed some of the challenges she had to face during her environmental journey, but she mostly spoke about how these difficulties led to an increase in her business and ultimately led to immense success and appreciation. "The IDEA campaign placed education at the top of the list since the beginning. This allowed people to make commitments to the environment and be responsible in their relationship with it. This will motivate youth and others to spread the message.

The campaign places a lot of focus on education and raising awareness. Leyla Aliyeva Aliyeva also mentioned that every year they expand the agenda with new study activities covering the three main pillars of the younger generation youngsters from as young as 5 years old, young people, and young professionals. IDEA's education projects are enjoyed by thousands of people each year. They feature workshops, training sessions as well as seminars, scientific courses as well as vacation camps, field trips, field studies and conversation clubs.

Goodwill Ambassador for FAO
