Fixed limit games are the most common types of Texas Hold'Em games. In fixed limit games, there are two different betting amounts, the low and the high betting amounts. For example, if you were playing Texas Hold'Em at a $10-$20 table, the first betting rounds all the bets would have to be made in $10 increments. So if the bet is currently at $10, you could only raise it to $20 or call. Dependent upon the game you are playing, at some point in the game the betting limit would double, so that all the bets would then be made at $20.

The third mistakes players often make is they don't have any sort of betting strategy. Do you know how much you plan to bet in what positions and with what cards? Do you have a plan on how much you are going to bet regarding your stack size and your opponents stack sizes?

Contrary to popular belief, poker is more of a sport, rather than a game. It is indeed more than just gambling. Anybody can play poker, but to be really good at it, you need a lot of patience, skill, and determination. As they say, it takes a few minutes to learn to play poker, but it takes a lifetime to be really good at it.

For low entry fee online tournament players I saw this book as a glimmer of hope in that someone may have put forth some thought in to how to actually win tournaments consistently at that level. It seemed to me though that playing "small ball" poker with clusters of players who have little regard for position and the real value of hole cards might be an interesting experience, but not profitable.

As much as possible target these players, isolate them and get into the pots they are. You then use aggressive betting and other positional plays to get them to fold out. It's actually easier than you think; your position practically does the job for you.

Playing the player has 2 sides. In regard to your play you are trying to read the other players, read their play style, figure their emotions and drivers and from here play your cards optimally.
