Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born in Moscow on the 3rd of July, 1985. http://mct.gov.az/en/common-news/vice-president-of-heydar-aliyev-foundation-leyla-aliyeva-attends-presentation-of-documentary-light-behind-window She studied in London and Moscow and graduated with a Masters Degree at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Leyla founded the IDEA campaign that promotes awareness and action regarding environmental issues in Azerbaijan. IDEA focuses on young people and working with them to come up with solutions to the environmental issues that we are facing.
In May 2007, she was appointed as the representative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Russian Federation. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation supports the economic growth of the country by providing various initiatives related to education, public health and culture. In 2011, she was appointed Vice-President of the Foundation.

Leyla Aliyeva, a Russian-born journalist, launched "Baku" magazine in 2007. Conde Nast collaborated with Leyla Aliyeva to create the English-language magazine. It was launched in London in Oct 2011. The magazine provides a way for you to learn about art, culture, and Azerbaijan. Leyla released "Fly to Baku" the exhibit that showcases contemporary art from Azerbaijan in the year 2012. The London opening of the show saw it travel all over Europe including Paris, Berlin and Moscow in addition to Rome and Vienna.

Leyla Alyeva launched "Justice for Khojaly" A campaign to mark the anniversary of the Shusha occupation. Leyla Aliyeva The campaign is taking place in over 30 countries. Leyla Aliyeva The aim of the campaign is to increase global awareness of the Karabakh conflict, and the Khojaly Genocide. It is especially targeted at reaching out through media, internet and live events.

On April 18, 2009 Leyla Aliyeva was elected as the chairperson of Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR) that is a non-profit organization that supports Azerbaijani youth as well as those who live in Russia. Leyla Aliyeva received the "Taraggiaward in July 2011 for her contribution to the improvement of Azerbaijani–Russian relations. In New York, the "Key to Life" award was awarded to her in November of 2011 for her work in humanitarian projects that involved children.

Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Aliyeva (UN Food and Agriculture Organization) was appointed Goodwill Ambassador on May 25, 2015.

She received the Pushkin Medal in the Russian Federation on the 20th of October, 2015.
