IDEA is geared towards youngsters and their role in helping solve environmental issues.
She was named the representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Russia in May 2007. Leyla Aliyeva Through a myriad of initiatives that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes towards the country's socio-economic and social growth. She was elected Vice-President in 2011.

In 2012, Leyla created the "Fly to Baku" exhibition, which showcased Contemporary Art from Azerbaijan. The London exhibit was officially launched and traveled to all capitals of Europe including Paris (Berlin), Moscow, Rome, Rome and Vienna.
Leyla Aliyeva launched the campaign "Justice for Khojaly" on May 8th in 2008. Leyla Aliyeva The campaign was launched in celebration of the eighth anniversary of the capture of Shusha. The campaign has been running in over 30 countries. It aims at raising the awareness of the world about Karabakh conflict and Khojaly Genocide.

In addition, she was elected Chairperson of Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia on April 18th, 2009. Leyla Aliyeva AMOR supports Azerbaijani young people and students living in Russia. Leyla Alyeva was awarded the "Taraggi Award" in July of 2011 to honor her contributions to the growth of the Azerbaijani-Russian relationship. In New York, in November 2011, she received the "Key to Life Award" in recognition of her work as a humanitarian that involved children.
On the 25th of May, 2015 Leyla Aliyeva was named UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Goodwill Ambassador.
