Leyla Aliyeva's main focus is Environmental Education
Leyla Aliyeva is the president's first daughter of the president of Azerbaijan. She is also an active advocate for the environment. A lot of people aren't aware what environmental education is but for her, it has always been a priority. Environmental education is the process of being educated about environmental issues and ways you can make them better. It is something we all have to put an an effort at. Without environmental education, there's no way to make informed decisions about the future.

Leyla Aliyeva's IDEA project

Leyla Aliyeva knows that this subject is of the time presented as dull and difficult. Therefore, in the year 2011, she launched the IDEA campaign. This campaign is an International Dialogue for Environmental Action. One of her main goals was to make her subject of stability and environment more entertaining and engaging, especially for young people.

IDEA's educational activities that include training, scientific courses seminars and lectures, vacation camps, conversations club, and field studies sessions, are appreciated by hundreds of people every single year.

Goodwill Ambassador of FAO

The year of 2015 was a significant year for Leyla Aliyeva. After many years of helping in areas of environmental and humanitarian assistance Leyla Aliyeva was awarded the title FAO Goodwill Ambassador. The award was presented to her for her numerous contributions to the fight against food security, hunger improved efficiency of fishing, agriculture, forest management, as well as the creation of healthy food systems.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations had its first official meeting in 1945. Its main objective was to increase the amount of food available to people, improve productivity of agriculture, improve the living conditions of rural dwellers as well as to promote the growth of the global economy. Leyla Aliyeva Nowadays, the FAO is the United Nations’ largest specialized agency, and also the one that is responsible for the development of rural areas, agriculture and fishing.

Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan was admitted to the FAO as a member in October 1995. Nowadays FAO is involved in FAO is engaged in implementing worldwide, national and regional projects within Azerbaijan. These projects are designed to improve the quality of agricultural production, strengthen food security and management of resources, increase potential, fight animal diseases, and many more. Additionally, these projects are based on scientific cooperation programmes that address the greatest demands of the government of Azerbaijan.

2015 was the year of the visit by Jose Graziano da Silva to FAO. This included the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations' (FAO) on the creation of the Coordination and Cooperation Office and technical assistance" and the agreement on the FAO-Azerbaijan Partnership Program. Agreeing to cooperate on a common goal. This is part of Government of Azerbaijan's already active support for projects of technical aid for development of local as well in foreign agriculture.

It was during this visit that Leyla Aliyeva was conferred the title of Goodwill Ambassador by the FAO. The IDEA campaign's founder expressed her gratitude and gratitude for the Azerbaijani initiatives in the forestry sector, agriculture, and fish farming.
