1. Open the Minecraft launcher.

2. Select the "Edit profile" button.

3 Change your version to the Forge one. For example: you've installed Forge 1.7.10 So you need to choose "1.7.10 Forge" in the edit profile tab.

4 Exit Minecraft.

1 Go to your Home Windows in your task bar, and then type: "%appdata%".

2. Select: The ".minecraft" folder should be at the top of your screen.

3. Search for the "mods" folder. If you don't already have one, create one and name it "mods".

4 Don't extract your mod file if it's zip when you download it from a site. Drag the zip file into the "mods" folder. However, if the zip file has a jar file, then you just need to drop the jar file instead of the zip file.

5 Open your minecraft launcher again (Make sure that you have set up your Forge profile If you haven't, read Part 3 again). Click "Play" to begin the download of additional libraries. When it's done, you can enjoy your mod game. It loaded and everything is up-to date. All I see is the launch screen. What can I do to improve the experience?

Some mods require core mods (e.g. CodeChickenCore) so make sure to read over a mod's page before downloading it as it won't work if doesn't have its required core mods.
