How do you keep boredom at bay when working all night as a security guard in an underground facility

These are difficult times. It is difficult for me to navigate the world of gig economy just as much as I did in the past. I was very successful in my previous job, however I was fired from my dental assistant job. In the present, I have to work at night at the local machine manufacturing facility. The plant is mostly automated, workers are here all day long, but the night time crew consists of myself and two engineers. If something goes wrong or the machine isn't working as it should I have my emergency number. The next step is to call engineers or dial an outside number for additional engineers. I'm not doing anything. They don't make anything worth mentioning here. Guards at night are a glorified switchboard operator.

in all likelihood I do like it. It's quiet. While I'm an insomniac and sometimes, I get up due to excessive gas release in the night. Here, however, it is quiet. Recently, I've been experimenting with different car fixing videos. Though I'm not sure how to apply them to my vehicle right away I love watching others have their cars appear to be invincible. My heart was over the moon, I was able to download the latest episodes and films onto my laptop. Since my laptop has bigger screen and more powerful speakers, I've taken it into work. I joined HULU and Netflix. They allow you both to download their apps. After a while, depending on the length of the show, its quality options, and other factors the show will be downloaded onto the device. This will allow it to be accessible at any time, from anywhere even without internet. I'm now able to stream the TV while I commute to work. It's only 15 minutes long, however it allows me to watch one of the episodes I slept through the night before.

There are a lot of educational or simply fascinating materials that I can download at home and take to work. It makes my day go much quicker. Youtube's webinars are fantastic. But it's difficult to concentrate on the message even when interrupted many times. What am I speaking of... You know what I'm referring to?

Sometimes , I take my little son to work with me and it's during the times that my wife works her night shift as well, making it impossible for us to stay home with the kid. So, I bring my son along and place him in front of the computer screens that I keep an eye on. He falls asleep within minutes. However, when he awakes and I hand him my laptop and a couple of newly downloaded music videos, and he's watching those crazy young artists do their crazy things on screens He is content, I am content to continue doing my things via the phone.. It is what makes us feel more comfortable with each other, when we are doing our individual thing. He likes to come with me. It could be because it's late at night as children would like to do.
