Start Playing Texas Poker
If a person believes they have a strong hand or chance of winning one, they will be allowed to stay in the game. These players will place bets. The player to the left of the dealer starts the betting cycle. Their choice is to bet or check. If they check, they make no bet and the next player has the option to also check or bet, add money to the pot making all players pay to stay in the hand. If the first player bets, then the next player has the option to call, meet the bet, or raise, meet the bet and add more to it. A raise means that other players will contribute more money towards the pot.

After the blinds have been paid, each player is deal four cards face down by the dealer. These cards are called a player's pocket or hole cards and must be kept secret from other players. Each player must use two of these cards in order to make their final 5-card hand. Players can choose which of their 4 pocket cards they would like to use and combine them together with 3 of the 5 community cards to make their hand.

The dealer now proceeds to "burn" one last card face down on the table, and deals the final river card to the board. There are now 5 cards on the table, however in Texas Holdem each player still may only use 3 of those cards to make their 5 card poker hand. The small blind is the first action in poker. The dealer acts last. Check, Bet. Raise. Or Fold. Once this round of betting is complete, the showdown will take place.

The brook is followed with the final round, which involves a minimum of eight $. The clash is the final round of gambling. All remaining players must expose their cards after the last round.
