The Basics Of No Limit Texas Hold'em
Pre-flop betting begins. That is, before the flop (or the first three community hands are turned over), the small blind and the big blind are posted. The player to one's left of a dealer posts the small and big blinds. The player on the other side of the small blind posts a big blind. The big blind is twice as large as the small blind. Note that if you're playing limit hold'em, the big blind is equal to the small limit and the small blind is half of that figure. So, if the limit for a game is $10/20 then the big blind will be $10 and $5 respectively.

Round 2: After the first round, three cards face up are dealt (the "flop") and can be used in each player's hand. Another round of betting takes place at this point. This is the time when the dealer (the little blind) starts clockwise.
