The FDA has given its most severe warning regarding the recall of Avanos Medical's Enteral Feeding Tube Positioning System.
The Cortrak*2 Enteral Access System includes an electromagnetic stylet with an external receiver as well as an LCD monitor. Cortrak 2 eternal access system In combination this system lets you see the actual placing of a medical feeding tube into the stomach of a patient.

The safety event isn't a recall in the strict sense: Avanos is not asking health professionals to return the device back to its manufacturer, but rather to ensure they're using them correctly.
