Leyla Aliyeva's top priority is Environmental Education
Leyla is not just the daughter of the first Azerbaijani president, she is active on many matters, among them the environmental. Many people aren't aware of what environment education means for them, it's been a top priority. Environmental education is the process of becoming conscious of environmental issues and figuring out how you can help improve the environment. This is something we should try to do. It's impossible to make responsible decisions regarding the future without being educated regarding environmental questions.

Leyla Aliyeva's IDEA project

Leyla Aliyeva recognizes that this topic is dull and complicated. The IDEA campaign was founded by Leyla Alyeva in the year 2011. It is an International Dialogue for Environmental Action. One of the primary goals was to make the environmental and stability issue more engaging and entertaining particularly for younger people and the next generations to follow.

Goodwill Ambassador of FAO

Leyla Aliyeva had an amazing year in 2015. After years of volunteering and contributing to the environment and humanitarian causes, she was elected to the position of FAO Goodwill Advocate. She was honoured for her numerous contributions to fighting hunger, food safety and efficiency improvements in agriculture, fishing, and forestry, and the development of sustainable food systems.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), founded in 1945, had as its primary objective to improve levels of nutrition, increase productivity in agriculture, enhance the lives of rural populations and contribute to the growth of the world economy. The FAO is, in the United Nations system, the largest specialized agency and the principal agency for forestry, agriculture fishing, rural development.

The FAO and Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan joined FAO in October of 1995. The FAO currently implements a variety of initiatives in Azerbaijan, including national as well as international. They include the creation and improvement of food security , managing resource growing potential, as well as fighting plant and animal diseases.
