Pastor and faith healer, author, and television host, Chris Oyakhilome who is referred to by his fans as Pastor Chris, is the founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, which is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. https://www.christembassyantwerp.be/ His unique method of sharing God's Word inspired millions around the world.

Pastor Chris: Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963 in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a religious family with loving, committed parents. He was the oldest of four children born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina who is the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her faith in God's grace upon her son from a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry involves the whole family. His brother, Reverend Ken is the renowned Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), which is home to several global best-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome attended Edo College and was awarded the scholarship of Bendel State University to study architecture. He also has an honorary doctorate of divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where he discovered his calling to serve the Lord and go into ministry.

While still in university The Man of God started what would later become the largest congregation worldwide. It began as the formation of a small prayer group called 'Youth for Christ'. The group would later grow to be the basis for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with a later number of millions of followers across the globe.

The LoveWorld ministry under the direction of Pastor Chris has become the first pioneer of satellite television and Christian TV programming. LoveWorldSAT became the first Christian television channel to be broadcast 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air networks. There are LoveWorld television stations on satellite and cable networks all over the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria and also South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Two Healing Schools are situated in South Africa and Canada. There Pastor Chris holds seasonal sessions which allow the manifestation of miracles.


Music and Gospel Music are integral parts of the worship. Pastor Chris recommends Christ Embassy Churches that a choir be trained by Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these singing talent go on to enjoy successful solo careers under the guidance of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Internet (COFI) as an international non-profit organization. Its purpose is to assist the most vulnerable people and communities in some regions and countries of poverty around the world.

Apart from preaching the gospel message, the Man Of God has also established a number of NGOs that are tasked with providing vital services and hope to the most vulnerable and neglected. COFI has five partners who support it, each of whom is committed to improving the living standard in the remotest areas.

The InnerCity Mission for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps(VMC), Traga Care International Foundation [TCIF], Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) and Bible For All Mission are all under the COFI umbrella. Each of these organizations works to enhance the health, life and spirits of the most in need.

His charity provides food and shelter for those in need. Pastor Chris believes that strong communities are fostered by COFI and The InnerCity Mission. This promotes accountability leadership and good governance. The charity also helps to promote sustainable development in Africa and other regions of the world, in line to the Sustainable Development Goals.
