adalah jenis mantra yang biasanya dimaksudkan untuk menyebabkan tingkat tertentu rasa sakit dan ketidaknyamanan.
Hex dianggap sedikit 'Hitam' lebih gelap dari Jinx tetapi tidak gelap seperti kutukan.
Maksudnya hitam itu, sihirnya.
Tetapi hex dapat digunakan dalam kapasitas defensif.

Spell ini memiliki efek menyembuhkan bagian tubuh dari mahluk hidup yang terluka.
Contoh dari healing spell adalah episkey dan ferula.
Contoh dari Counter-spell itu seperti Nox untuk Lumos.
