The Texas Holdem poker game can be played with anywhere from 2 players on up to 10 players. The dealer is identified by a button at the table. The small and big blinds are placed clockwise from this button. The small blind is approximately half of the big blind. The Texas Holdem poker blinds replace Antes. This gives the eight other players at the table the opportunity to fold their cards for no cost. Two people under the blinds are considered already in the hand.
