You can make two bets: the Ante and the Pair Plus. The Ante represents the fee you pay for playing the hands. The Pair Plus bet is that you will get hands with a pair of cards or higher. While you don't have the option to make both of these bets, you do have to place the Ante to keep the game going.
There is another rule that the dealer must have at minimum a hand of q high for the bets not to be invalid. If this is not true, the play is still paid out to all remaining players in the hand. However, the ante is returned. This means that payouts are halved, but all players receive the same payout regardless of their hand.
4) The player who has the lowest card value, as shown face-up, must place a small bet. This is called a "bringin" and the betting proceeds towards the left to the lower card player. Each player can call, raise or fold his cards.
Call- to match the highest bet made so far. If the biggest bet is the big blind, it must be matched in order to keep the hand alive. If a player raises, all other players will need to 'call the raise' or match it, to stay in the hand.
FOLD - All interest in the pot is forfeited when a player folds. The player who folds in poker is not allowed to bet any more money on the current game.
The main objective of holdem poker is to compete for the pot ( an amount of chips contributed by the players themselves ). The card poker game are randomly dealt and the players cannot control it. Therefore, they have no control over how the pot is managed. They will also be predicting what the other players are holding.
It is a very popular casino game. Most casinos will have a 3 Card Poker or 3 Card Brag table (same thing) alongside their blackjack, craps, and Texas hold em poker.
