Some youth football coaches believe that the more players, the better. Many of these coaches believe that more players will result in a greater chance of a team's success. One local team had 40-60 players on its team and lost most of the games. Bad coaching can sometimes overcome huge talent pools. Our Omaha league saw one team face another team that had 52 players. The majority of league teams have between 22 and 35 players. High numbers guarantee headaches for the head coaches. Very low numbers could cause problems.
