“How do know which fields are included in version 8? Do I have to put together version 7+8 and override and duplicate fields in 8 to get the correct answer for the version 8 data record? What if there are more versions? Do we have to start at the earliest version number to find the field? We might want to reconsider the choice we made here to make things easier to explain at the expense of a larger dataset.”
