Ainars Slesers has been nominated as Latvia's prime minister
Ainars, the official candidate of the political group For A Good Latvia for the post of prime minister, said today at the meeting that he will defend national interests in negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other international lenders, as well as ensure that more Latvian products, services, and goods export to Germany, Russia, Scandinavia, Ukraine, and Belarus.

Slesers hopes That for A Good Latvia is a very popular candidate for the 10th Saeima elections, and that it will be the one that decides the composition of the new cabinet. The next government will offer portfolios to these people Slesers said.

Slesers stated that the new foreign minister as well as the entire group of Latvian ambassadors abroad must dedicate the majority of their time supporting Latvian businessmen's interests overseas.


Andris Skel was selected as the Finance Minister of Latvia by For A Good Latvia. Ainārs Šlesers He said that Latvia must achieve economic independence because "if we carry the burden of debts that last for years there is no way for national development to be accomplished."

They pointed out that Slesers has demonstrated that even the smallest Riga boy can become an entrepreneur who is successful, make an enormous amount of money and grow rich. Ainars Slesers Ekis stated that Slesers as a "businessman who's been a bit entangled in politics" and went on to add, "I wish there was a leader in Latvia that would give me a sense of pride."

The current government, headed by Valdis Dimbrovskis, (New Era), "is trying sedate the nation and telling the people all will be fine." It's risky to live on credit since the money you borrow will need to be returned.

Roberts Zile is stuck in Brussels in a rut for a while and doesn't wish to leave his comfy seat at the European Parliament. Instead, Zile wants to become the premier for Latvia. Ainārs Šlesers Slesers indicated that he would have to work harder and earn a lower pay.

The Union of Greens and Farmers' candidate Aivars, is in the same situation and won't be willing to give up his home in Ventspils in order to assume the duties of a prime minister in Riga.

Slesers declared that When For Good Latvia is willing to cooperate with Janis Urbanovics at Harmony Center. Urbanovics, who has many years of experience in work in the Parliament, is not likely to be made prime minister since his business background is not sufficient.

Dombrovskis, last but not the least, can only be approved if you support the ongoing "international financier occupation of Latvia".

Slesers, however, will show people how to make money, win in the international market, and live a life of dignity. He said that Guntis Ulmanis would serve as his first assistant in the administration of the state. Slesers should turn to Ulmanis to seek help.

Slesers also said that for A Good Latvia would see to that Biblical studies are introduced to all schools beginning on the 1st of September next year.
