Bunga Iris (Iris tectorum Max) merupakan tumbuhan yang berasal dari Jepang. Biasa ditanam sebagai tumbuhan hias karena bunganya yang indah. Tumbuh baik terutama di daerah pegunungan. Iris dalam bahasa Yunani artinya pelangi, dan bunga ini telah dianggap memiliki berbagai arti diantaranya yaitu kesetiaan, kebijaksanaan, kesejahteraan, persahabatan dan harapan.
Bunga iris memerlukan cahaya matahari yang banyak dan salah satu tumbuhan yang mudah dibudidayakan. Di dunia ini terdapat lebih dari 300 jenis tumbuhan golongan ini. Bunga ini juga memiliki bermacam-macam warna.
Bunga Iris juga merupakan bunga yang dilukis oleh pelukis Vincent van Gogh yang diberi nama "Bunga-bunga Iris" dan merupakan satu dari sekian karyanya pada saat-saat terakhir menjelang kematiannya tahun 1890. Tahun 1987, lukisan tersebut menjadi lukisan yang termahal yang pernah dijual.
