Bayrock Group's journey from the Suburbs to Manhattan Tevfik Arif

Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development business led by Tevfik Arif, found itself quickly cooperating in conjunction with the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

Bayrock Group Goes from Suburbs into Manhattan
Many dream of living the American dream. Tevfik Arif Doyen But only a small proportion of people actually achieve it. Turkish Kazakhstani businessman Tevfik Ark was just one of the few who made it to America in 2001 to start his own Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group is a New York-based luxury real estate developer.


The firm initially concentrated on medium-sized and small projects such as the redesign of Loehmann's Seaport Plaza, a shopping center located in Brooklyn's Sheepshead.

The decision led to Tevfik and his staff getting together with the Trump Organization. This organization also had the Trump Tower at its base.

Discussions took place between Bayrock Group, the Trump Organization after the two firms realized that they had similar desires and shared goals.

At the time, the Trump Organization was managed by the former American President Donald Trump.

Donald Trump transferred the management to his children in 2017 just as he was about to enter the White House.

Bayrock Group's lucrative deal
Bayrock Group was relatively new to the real estate scene at the time that the Trump Organization, Sapir Organization and Bayrock Group started their cooperation.

Tevfik, the founder of Spring Street, drafted an arrangement that would increase the brand's recognition and prestige.

Two years after, Bayrock Group, Trump Organization and Sapir Organization launched their contribution to the skyline of New York City through Trump SoHo.

Design veterans are in charge of the Trump SoHo
Trump SoHo boasted 46 stories of exclusive bars, restaurants, banquet and event venues as well as an open-air pool, a spa section, apartments, and hotel rooms.

Visitors and residents to Trump SoHo can enjoy a spectacular view of New York City from the floor-to-roof windows on all floors.

Handel Architects was entrusted to design the exterior of Trump SoHo because the three groups responsible for the structure focused their efforts on perfection.

Handel Architects are a respected company with a wide portfolio. The National September 11 Memorial and Museum in New York City and the Rosewood hotel in Abu Dhabi are among other undertakings.

Rockwell Group designed Trump SoHo’s interiors. Rockwell Group has oversaw the design of many lavish cafes and hotels across the world.

Their projects include their work at the Tower Hotel and Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, India and the 93rd Academy Award show.

Bayrock Group, Trump Organization increase the partnership
Trump SoHo was a great immediate success, which led Bayrock Group to expand their collaboration with the Trump Organization.

Their goal was to build buildings like Trump SoHo in Arizona and Florida under similar terms similar to the ones of Trump SoHo. In return, Trump Organization would get 18% equity. Again.

Bayrock Group, and Trump Organization had everything. They had the ability to plan but the 2008 financial crisis which severely affected the American real estate market affected their plans.

The American housing market experienced significant changes due to the financial crisis. Tevfik Arif Doyen Tevfik arif, Bayrock Group founder, made the decision to quit the United States. He decided to leave the United States to start a new career in Europe and Asia.

Although Tevfik Arif is no longer part of Bayrock Group, he is still a trusted advisor for different divisions of the business.

Bayrock Group has not been involved in any recent real estate developments in the United States.

However, while it was active, the firm invested in real estate assets valued at more than $2.5 million.
