Is my girl dad really a bad guy? That's the question I asked myself after finishing the first book of the series. Vada is a neurotic, quirky, and misunderstood character, and even her father seems unsure of her dark feelings. She is obsessed with death and paranoia, but is learning to confront these feelings through her writing and her friendship with Thomas J. Although she has some dark emotions, she is ultimately a good person.

As the title suggests, Vada is the daughter of Thomas J. Bixler. When her mother dies, Vada finds out that her father was working at a funeral home. Vada's dad, meanwhile, tells her about the death of his old boss, Thomas J., which causes her to become terrified of the basement. Nevertheless, she can't tell her dad about her first menstrual cycle, and so she's terrified to enter it.
Thomas J. Sennett

"Thomas J. Sennett is My Girl Dad" is a young adult comedy written and directed by Thomas J. Sennett. Vada Sultenfuss is an overly sensitive tween living in a small town. The Girl Dad Show is a dreaded undertaker and married the town's cosmetologist, Shelly, mistakenly. Vada feels isolated from her dad and her best friend, and tries to make up for this disconnect by making things right.

Vada Sultenfuss is an unusual girl. The Girl Dad Show died when she was young, and the other girls tease her and Thomas J. Sennett. He often goes with her to the doctor, and even tries to convince her that she isn't sick. Despite the pranksters, Vada and Thomas J. The Girl Dad Show get along great and become best friends.
Laura Caperton Richards

Dallas mom Laura Caperton Richards shares frequent pictures of her three-month-old daughter with her followers. One recent video garnered much more attention than usual. During a recent visit to the Dallas Zoo, the couple found a small statue of the baby girl. Laura Caperton Richards was moved by the sight, and posted a video of the little girl's first time standing on her own. The father-daughter duo sing a cute song to the baby girl.

In Thomas J., my girl dad, Vada has a boyfriend who is not her true love. Vada tries to convince Thomas J. to leave her but he does not listen. Vada then runs off to visit a friend and meets a man named Nick. They fall in love and live happily ever after. But as they grow closer, Vada realizes she is not the only one who loves Nick.

Thomas and Vada were once very close, but their relationship began to deteriorate after Vada's mother died. Vada begins to miss her father and her crush on Thomas. But when she learns that her father is dating another girl, she runs to her dad's house. Unfortunately, Thomas is already engaged and does not see Vada as his future wife. However, Vada is patient and learns from the experience. Ultimately, Thomas's death is a turning point for her life.
