Pastor and faith healer, writer, and TV host, Chris Oyakhilome who is referred to by his followers as Pastor Chris is the founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, which is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963 in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a religious family with loving, dedicated parents. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his education at Edo College. After a grant was made to pursue a degree in the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), he earned a BSc degree in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honorary doctorate in divinity awarded by the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the place where he felt God called him to become a minister to the Lord.

The LoveWorld ministry, under the leadership of Chris the pastor, Chris has become a pioneer for satellite television as well as Christian television programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa to the rest of the world, 24 hours a day, all the time on free-to-air channels. Today, there are LoveWorld television stations on satellite and cable networks across the world.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The ministry has two healing schools, which are based in South Africa.

Music and Gospel Music are also an important part of the worship.
