Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor and faith healer, writer, and TV host, Chris Oyakhilome is known to his followers as Pastor Chris is the founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, which is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is a Nigerian Christian, born in December 63 in Edo State. He was nurtured by his parents who were devoted to him. He is the eldest child of Elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was the pioneer of Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of the Oyakhilome families, who passed her divine grace onto her son from an early age.

The whole family is actively engaged in the LoveWorld ministry. Reverend Ken is Ken's brother , and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren (KattyWorghiren) is director at the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry. This organization has many gospel artists that are the top-selling globally.

Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon is following her father's footsteps of sharing God’s Word to the world. As well as being known by CSO as a singer, she is an award-winning, talented gospel artist and is a part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to go to Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he earned an BSc. in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity awarded by the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the place where he was able to feel God called him to be a minister for the Lord.

While still at university, the Man of God began what would become the largest congregation in the world. It began as the formation of a small prayer group known as 'Youth for Christ'. The group would later become the foundation for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with a later number of millions of followers across the globe.

The LoveWorld ministry, under the leadership of Chris the pastor, Chris was the first pioneer of satellite television and Christian television programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa throughout the day on free-to air channels. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations all over the globe.
