A "Squeezing" bet is used to limit your opponents pot odds in a short-on the level* game. You use this bet when you have a strong hand and you've put your opponent on some kind of write. The odds are they will not hit their draw so you place a bet and form them pay to chase after their draw. This way you'll be good to accrual the size of the pot or they will fold to you as they do not long to risk chasing the draw.
As with everything in poker, observe the betting habits of your opponents. Within a game, if a player starts betting high and then starts checking or betting Less aggressively, the band he was hoping for might not have materialized.
Another great little betting tactics is using correctly betting the pot. What I mean by this is, you do not want to underbet the pot and you do not want to overbet the pot.

"What does he have?" is what you should be thinking. You may draw this conclusion: if the opponent has an ace he has a weak ace, because he only checked after the initial raise before the flop. If he had an A-K or A-Q he would have most definitely re-raised.
