The dream must ignite your passion and belief in its potential. More important than the business you decide to pursue is how strongly you are convinced of the concept that lies behind it. Rami Beracha shares his personal experiences with students of the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya. When he was a young man Rami chose to pursue a degree in law. He wasn't sure that he would like to pursue law, however he pursued his studies and graduated with an advanced degree in New York. After that was completed, he joined the international law firm. However, through his work in the Wall Street law firm, he realized that he actually had a passion for business, more than law. Therefore, he decided to leave his job and moved to France to pursue an MBA.

Shortly after graduating in 1996, Beracha began her career at the Venture Capital Fund Pitango, the biggest venture capital investment fund in Israel. Pitango has a relationship with companies at the initial stages of development, with a focus on the core areas within the high-tech. Pitango has invested over 200 times and made 85 exits. Rami was appointed managing partner in 2000. In the 18 years that followed the company was involved in a variety of deals that resulted in profitable exits from large corporations in the Fortune 500 like Broadcom, Marvel and Cisco.
It didn't end there. In 2011, the Globes awarded Beracha the "Esteemed Partner" award, acknowledging him as an influential investor that he has become. Rami founded Sosa in 2014, a brand-new initiative. Sosa has innovation centers in New York and Tel Aviv which support cutting-edge high-tech companies in partnering with global entrepreneurs looking to work with promising Israeli startups. Sosa was recently selected to build and oversee the New York City's cyber centre.

Although the last couple of years have been tough financially since the inception of the coronavirus, he still believes that there are numerous opportunities. He suggests identifying new business opportunities that have a significant disruption in technological advancements.

Beracha has two projects currently in development. Beracha along with some business partners, recently established an London Blockchain Venture Capital Investment Fund. Beracha has played a key role in establishing Israel as a world-class tech center and is prepared for a bigger market. Beracha's outlook on business is evident in the new fund. It states "We have a deep understanding of technology but we invest only in mission-driven individuals." They want to help blockchain find its place in the forefront of innovative concepts and businesses that are devoted.

Beracha plans to launch a Middle Eastern venture capital funds. Beracha believes now is a great time to invest in the Arab market. What better place to start than the affluent and super modern Dubai? Ender Ventures is his new fund. He plans to use Israeli advertisements European Investors for support to high-tech UAE firms in areas like artificial intelligence, robotics and virtual reality. Unique in its outlook for business, the United Arab Emirates is a unique country. The low tax rate as well as the favorable laws for business will make it a magnet for many companies in the coming decades.
Rami Bechacha's challenging Past
Although today it seems that Rami Beracha succeeds in everything that he's chosen to pursue, his path wasn't always so easy. Beracha as well as many Israelis, entered the army as a young soldier. He served in the Paratrooper's Brigade as a combat soldier and was a part of the Lebanon War. Rami was a part of a rescue team which assisted wounded soldiers in a minefield. It was 1983. Rami was fortunate to have fallen on an underground mine and sustained fractured feet as well as a swollen hand.
His time in hospital rehabilitation was among the most challenging of his entire existence. He couldn't walk , and was depressed and gloomy. The dreams of becoming an army officer seemed unrealized and he lost his sense of his self. Rami was able to dream and live despite his suffering. Rami made a decision to live a life that was better and more satisfying than it was before his injuries. Rami decided to try out extreme sports. He is now a kitesurfer, snowboarding and has even gone up Mount Kilimanjaro. He frequently feels the unrestrained past pushing him to his limits and racing him.
He volunteers for many organisations and also makes donations. He is extremely passionate about helping young men, suffering from injuries sustained in combat. Rami was the leader of an army group that helped injured soldiers on a 2016 journey to Nepal. He rose to the rank major in the Israeli paratrooper/fire brigades in 2018. He was able to realize his childhood dreams despite all the challenges. His story and his passion can be a source of inspiration for anyone who comes across them. Rami did not let his injuries stop him from pursuing his goals as he continued learning and trying new things until he was even stronger than prior to.
