Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development business led by Tevfik Arif, found itself soon working in conjunction with the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

Many people dream of moving to America in order to enjoy the American dream and live the American lifestyle, only a handful actually do. Entrepreneur from Turkish Kazakhstan Tevfik Arik was among the few who made it to America in 2001 to start his own company, Bayrock Group.

The Bayrock Group operates in New York City as an exclusive real estate development company.

The company was initially focused on small- to medium-sized projects, such as the revamp of Loehmann's Seaport Plaza, a shopping center located in Brooklyn's Sheepshead.

After making inroads on the American housing market, Bayrock Group was ready for expansion and began seeking large scope projects.

Tevfik Amir and his crew were in contact with the Trump Organization in the process. They also utilized the Trump Tower for their base.

When the partnership between the Trump Organization, the Sapir Organization and the Bayrock Group began, the Bayrock Group was a relatively new entity in New York City's real estate scene.


To boost the project on Spring Street, the founder Tevfik Arif devised an arrangement that would bring more brand recognition and prestige to the project.

The deal he proposed would grant the Trump Organization 18% equity in the building, as a condition for the Trump brand being used to create the building's name.

Each of the three companies ratified the agreement and the very first brick of Trump SoHo was laid in the year 2006.

Two years after that, Bayrock Group was founded by the Trump Organization and the Sapir Organization and the Trump Organization. They launched Trump SoHo in New York City.

Design veterans take charge of the Trump SoHo
Trump SoHo's 46 stories featured exclusive bars and restaurants as well event and banquet rooms, open-air pools, event and conference halls, a spa department Apartments and hotel suites.

Visitors and residents to Trump SoHo can enjoy a breathtaking view of New York City from the windows that extend from floor to roof on every floor.

As the three organizations behind the structure were focused on perfection, Handel Architects was entrusted with the task of designing the exterior of Trump SoHo.

Handel Architects, a respected firm with a diverse portfolio, is highly regarded. Some of the other initiatives are the National September 11 Memorial and Museum and Abu Dhabi's Rosewood hotel residence.

Trump SoHo was a huge success, and Bayrock Group and Trump Organization began to consider the possibility of expanding their cooperation.

The American housing sector was drastically affected by the crisis.
