This was probably my favorite week at work so far. It was the first time I work actual human hours. I had to go in 9-5 instead of my usual 2-10/11 because I went to the New York Red Bulls game in between their bouts between both NYCFC and The NY Cosmos. It was an exciting time to be at the Red Bulls facility because they had just beaten new MLS rival NYCFC, and were looking to avenge last years loss to the Cosmos in the US Open Cup. It was only me and the photog, so it was an opportunity for me to do some cool things.
I got to wield the microphone during interviews with players and coaches. So it was cool it was my first non press conferece where I was fighting SNY and beat writers for a good spot in the circle. I also did a couple stand ups on the field to turn in to things for my reel which was awesome. It was also cool seeing one of the Red Bulls Sean Davis who I went to high school with. Kind of a surreal moment.
The next day at work I had a productive day. In the afternoon I edited my first full package there for my real. My boss gave me some pointers when I was done and then I exported it. Then after that I wrote a few scripts for the 7 oclock show. And after 7 I got to sit around with 3 TVs and monitored the games that wed be talking about for the 10. It was probably the most fun day Ive had in the place. Im starting to get more comfortable with my boss and all the photographers so there is good interaction.
