Minecraft Villager Jobs: A Information

Since 1.14 Village and Pillage, Minecraft villages have seen an enormous change. There has been a complete rework of how trading as well as the economy of items and the roles each villager takes on. This will be a comprehensive guide to managing your villager's trades and the villagers. You should be able to identify the best method of obtaining the items you require at the end. Let's get started!

What are the Countless Villager Jobs in Minecraft?

There are currently 15 villager jobs in Minecraft. This list contains all the possible jobs a villager could take. You can put the job block that matches the job you're seeking next to the Unemployed Villager in case you wish to apply for an employment. The villager's work will determine the kind of trade they are able to offer. You can remove a villager's job block when you do not have a villager who is unemployed. If you don't get the desired trades from a villager you can break the job block and put it back to reload their trades.

Types of villagers in Minecraft

Armorer - Offers armor and even Chainmail. Job Block: Blast Furnace Butcher - Offers emeralds, cooked meat and even emeralds. Job Block Smoker

Villager Appearance:

Not only do the jobs of villager vary based on their job however, their appearance will differ in each biome. They will keep the specific characteristics to their job to ensure that each job is distinct. For example Farmers all wear straw hats and all Librarians will wear glasses.

Trading in stocks

As of 1.14, Mojang has introduced the delightful concept of 'Supply & Demand. This basically means that if you execute a specific trade too often, not only will the villager run out of stock in that specific item and prices (amount of jewels or items you need to give) will also increase when the item is traded often. Minecraft Kitpvp Servers can be made up to four times before stock is exhausted. Villagers will replenish their stock twice per day. If an item isn't traded for any reason then the price will decrease.

Unlocking Trades:

When a trade occurs between a villager and a player, both gain experience. The next level of trades can be unlocked once the villager's level increases. There are five levels of trades for each villager to unlock better quality items. A villager's level is represented by the color of their badge on their clothing. It ranges from Novice(Stone), Apprentice(Iron), Journeyman(Gold), Expert(Emerald), up to Master(Diamond).

Wandering Trader

It might seem odd however, it is the truth that there is a villager who behaves differently from the other villagers. The Wandering Trader is a passive Mob that appears randomly throughout the globe, with no pattern. It is equipped with two trading llamas which are similar to normal llamas with a cosmetic alteration. Another oddity with this Villager is that it does not have trading levels, meaning that the trades you've made with him are the ones that you're stuck with. Be assured, however, that his trades will be reset next time he spawns.

The trades provided by the Wandering Trader are regarded as generally obscure and difficult items to get. Not particularly impressive or powerful however, they are nevertheless valuable. Be quick, as the Wandering Trader will vanish after 40-60 minutes.

Popularity:

You have a certain amount of the popularity of player. This is reduced by taking negative actions, such as attacking villager, but increased by trading frequently or treating zombie villagers. Negative actions can raise prices, while positive actions can decrease them.

Let's say Illagers attack your village without warning. You happen to be nearby and you manage to repel the attack. You will be rewarded with the 'Hero of the Village" status effect, which will further reduce the cost of trade (except for trades that cost 1 Emerald).

Those are the basics of Villager Jobs and trading in villages. You should now be able to manage that villager farm as a pro! Mojang feels the need to tear the carpet beneath our feet frequently and, for better or worse, trading is somewhat more complicated due to Supply & Demand mechanics, along with the popularity function. You can exploit these features to help you, or even make trading a mess on your Minecraft server. I hope that you found this guide useful. Good luck and I wish you the best!
