Manual Handling Online
This course is designed for trainers who are already certified as manual handling instructors. By completing this RPL course it allows instructors to upgrade their certification to FETAC Level 6. There isn’t actually a manual handling refresher course available in Ireland. This is because the HSA along with QQI has only authorised training for the full course. Our Manual Handling course builds the knowledge and skills required to safely move heavy items in the workplace by lifting, carrying, lowering, pushing or pulling them. The course takes place in our Finglas and Tallaght classrooms over 2 hours.
These Manual Handling Tasks not only apply to our work but also to our personal lives. Performing tasks incorrectly will eventually result in musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. The Ayrton Group provided Linesight with a number of in-house Covid-19 Lead Worker Representative training sessions through CitA Skillnet Ireland. I found them extremely flexible and adaptable to our needs.
Depending on the results achieved in the assessments, our instructors may need to carry out an individual assessment of the trainee before issuing the Traditional Certificate. Our E-Learning Training Program for Manual Handling covers the requirements of the regulations, the use of mechanical aids, safe handling techniques and much more. The duration of the course depends entirely on the learner’s own learning style.

Understanding Safety Legislation – This covers the general duties of employers and employees when it comes to workplace safety. The aim of this award is to enable learners to effectively design and deliver Manual Handling Instruction for the workplace.
Demonstrate the correct technique for lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying loads by hand and team lifting. Participants will receive Sensible Safety certificate of attendance on completion of a written and practical assessment. Certification is valid for 3 years from a QQI qualified Manual Handling tutor. QQI Manual Handling Instructor Certs do not have an expiry date. However, it is recommended that refresher training should be provided at intervals, not more than every three years. Train the Trainer is a programme designed to equip participants with both the abilities and confidence needed to train others.
