Blackjack is also known as "21" by those with some knowledge of the game. It's considered by some as a game that is easy however there are rules and strategies that shouldn't be ignored. This article will show you how to play blackjack.

The first thing to understand is the way in which the game is played. Blackjack play begins with the bet. Place a bet based on the minimum/maximum bet rules which allows you to play, and also tells the dealer that it is time to deal you a win! Insurance is the most important aspect you should know. This one confuses people a little and there's a valid reason for it. The majority of your bet is covered by insurance. Insurance is an option bet. If the dealer is able to show an Ace showing you have the opportunity to place a bet on whether or not they are 21. This bet could double the amount you bet. If the player has 21, you win the side bet but lose your initial bet. This is an advantage. If they do not have 21, you'll lose your side bet, and keep playing. While insurance isn't something that people often take out, it's a smart choice when you're considering the chances.

Keep in mind that the best method to start playing is to sit down at an area. Dealers are trained to be courteous and usually ignore those who look like loos.
