Safety Parks in New York and Cicero, New York
Local businesses are sponsoring the "Trick or Treat" event at Safety Park. Walgreens will take pictures of children who come in costume. United Way of Adams County board member Tonya Hamilton will attend the event. The event is for pre-school and elementary school children who love Halloween. Costumed children are encouraged to bring friends. After trick-or-treating, parents can head to the park for some refreshments. For more information, visit safetypark.com.
ESTA Safety Park Dragstrip

ESTA Safety Park Dragstrip in Cicero, New York is the site of an NHRA 1/4 mile drag strip. The dragstrip opened for business in October 1960 and is operated by the Empire State Timing Association. Palmy's Junior Road Safety Park

Palmy's Junior Road Safety Park is always buzzing with activity. Its miniature roundabout, traffic lights, stop signs, and give way signs are the perfect place to let kids get some exercise while learning about basic road safety. The park was built in 1941, but has recently undergone a major refurbishment. Kids love the variety of tropical plants, including pitcher plants which are perfect for catching bugs. It also features benches and informational signage about the different types of plants.
Ken Alley Safety Park

A new park in Schaumburg is set to open this weekend, and it will feature a permanent small village for year-round safety instruction. Named for former Schaumburg police chief Ken Alley, the park will include interactive safety lessons and games for children. There will also be demonstrations by police and fire departments. The park is near the city's Shephard Early Childhood Center. It is open to the public, and admission is $10 per person, with an additional $5 fee for each additional child.

The NHRA Safety Park Dragstrip is a quarter mile drag strip near Cicero, New York. It is operated by the Empire State Timing Association and opened for business in October 1960. It is located to the south of Yahoo! Map. It is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.5 License. It is a favorite destination for NHRA fans and aspiring racers.
