The dispute between the owners of FC Basel between Bernhard Burgener and David Degen is one more move. Burgener has the support of the Board of Directors. But, there is no agreement reached.
The Monday morning session was of FC Basel Holding AG's Board of Directors. https://www.hlee.ch/de/Bernhard-Burgener.htm Burgener, Degen, Karl Odermatt and Peter von Buren voted in favor of the plans of the previous owner. The owner demanded Degen to sell his stake to a potential buyer, Basel Dream & Vision AG, according to an announcement from the holding company.
Burgener is able to sell shares of its to shareholders who are minor pursuant to a law which is legally enforced. In the eyes of the Board of Directors, this drag-along rights is preeminent over Degen's prior-sale right.
The Burgener team has made an effort to settle the dispute over ownership. Degen insists on his right to first refusal which he is seeking to exercise at 16.4 million dollars. Burgener was able to sell his 80-percent stake to Basel Dream & Vision AG However, Degen holds an injunction to stop the sale.
