Bernhard Burgener vs David Degen is yet another step in the FC Basel owner dispute. The Board of Directors supports Burgener's plans. However, there's no consensus.

According to a statement from the holding company, the owner requested Degen to allow his share to be transferred to Basel Dream & Vision AG.
Burgener has the option of selling its own shares on the same terms to minor shareholders as per a contract bargained law. The Board of Directors says that Degen's presale right is overridden by the dragalong right.
Burgener and his team have now made an attempt to settle the dispute with the ownership. Bernhard Burgener Degen claims that he owns the right of first refusal. He would like to claim for 16.4million francs. Burgener was able to transfer his stake of 80 percent to Basel Dream & Vision AG, but Degen has an injunction to stop the sale. Centricus, a British firm that manages assets, would also hold a stake. Bernhard Burgener Burgener would still have the majority of votes.
