Minecraft: All of Denmark almost recreated

The entirety of Denmark has been recreated in the virtual world of Minecraft.
The whole country has been faithfully recreated in the wildly popular style of the building-block style of the title by the Danish government.
Danish residents are encouraged to "freely move about in Denmark" and "find your own private area, to build and tear down".
Around 50 million Minecraft copies have been sold.
Also known as a "sandbox" game it allows players to exist in a virtual space, with the help of building blocks, to create everything from basic structures to entire worlds.

Minecraft was launched in 2011 by independent Swedish developer Markus "Notch" Persson.
According to the Danish government the maps were developed to be used as an educational tool. It recommends "virtual field excursions" into remote areas of the country.
Flat roofs
There are no goals to be achieved other than the continued existence.
Many players are interested in re-creating real-world locations.
An intern from the UK's Ordnance Survey team created 86,000 sq. miles (2244,000 sq km) of accurately mapped landscapes last year.
However, the Danish project is more ambitious and features more detailed representations of buildings and towns.
According to the team behind it the project, the only difference was that the roofs were not flat.
It has also banned the use of one of the game's most popular tools - the dynamite.
