Protect yourself from EMFs
Some people claim that blocking the EMF radiation from our environment is good for our health, but this has not been proven. There are no specific guidelines for EMF radiation levels, and the effects of overexposure have not been adequately studied. However, it is a good idea to limit your exposure to EMF radiation for your safety and health. Fortunately, most EMF radiation is not dangerous. This type of radiation is naturally occurring and has been around for billions of years. In fact, most of it is visible to us as sunlight.


EPA doesn't recommend limits on low-level ionizing radiation
An ex-health physicist, and former employee at the Sandia National Laboratories (one of three main nuclear weapons design centers), is asking for EPA limits on low-level ionizing radioactivity. Scott Pruitt, EPA Administrator, received a copy from him. He didn't like Pruitt’s anti-science stance but he felt it was the right time to relax radiation standards.

The EPA regulates both man-made and natural radiation. Human physiology is not able to distinguish between the two, but the energy level of radiation determines the health effects.

Protective metal shielding
You can shield your electromagnetic devices with a wide range of materials. Because of its high conductivity, non-ferrous nature, metal is a popular choice. Pre-tin-plated and carbon steel are also common options. For some shielding purposes, silicone filled with metal particles can also be used. These materials are ideal for electronics because of their excellent conductivity and weather resistance.

EMF shielding materials include metal siding and window adhesive. EMF shielding paint is made from nickel flake, which is a highly conductive material that protects only the electromagnetic component of electromagnetic waves. These paints don't require heat cure or letdown and can be applied with a brush or spray. They bond well to a variety of plastics. They can also be painted with standard architectural paints.

Clothing
There are many types of clothing on the market made from materials that protect the body from harmful electromagnetic field (EMFs). Anti-EMF clothing includes t-shirts, jackets, underwear, socks, and gloves. Anti-EMF clothing is made with special metallic threading to block EMFs. Most manufacturers use silver or copper, nickel, and stainless steel.

Radiation shielding apparels protect against radio frequencies and harmful electromagnetic frequencies. This clothing helps protect a person from the harmful effects of EMFs without compromising comfort.

Smart meters
Although the devices are supposed to be protected from EMF, there are still concerns about their health risks. These include changes in sleep patterns, hyperactivity, and endocrine system problems. They can also lead to cardiac or flu-like symptoms. They can also cause memory loss or headaches. There are ways to reduce their negative effects.

Smart meters transmit data via wireless signals. emf shielding clothing have a very low power density, or mW per square meter.
