Minecraft and magic have been mingled several times recently. Spellcraft is the most prominent of these magical mix-ups. It includes more than 22,000 spells and new ways to utilize the spells. The fan-made EpicSpellsPlugin however, is worth keeping an eye on.
We wrote about the plugin in May. It was quite impressive at the time, but it seems that development has continued at a high rate since then. As Morica_ on Reddit writes in a post they've added the capability to cast spells without commands. It's now enough to rename a stick "Magic Wand" and then sneak around and draw symbols from the air.
The video shows off a few of the spells and the ability to tie them according to your preferences to various actions. BLASTER MUSIC It all feels very esoteric. This is precisely the feel that magic should aim for. Morica_ discusses a few more features in the comments, but the one that is most notable is the one Morica_ refers to.
Morica_ responded "Yes!" when asked about the possibility of creating custom spells. Although it's unlikely to happen within the next few months, I do would like to see something similar. I also code spells so that they work with premade items." This basically means that spells can be customized by using things already in the game. This could be a great way to experience Hogwarts Legacy without buying the game.
