In contrast to ionizing radiation RF radiation is not believed to cause cancer. However, some studies show higher rates of tumors in lab animals exposed to RF radiation.

There are many federal agencies involved in regulating and monitoring the consequences on the body of RF radiation on human bodies. This includes The Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. They monitor exposure to RF to ensure it's safe for employees. They also urge employees to limit their exposure if they are working in environments with high-frequency RF.
