ผู้สื่อข่าวรายงานว่า โลกออนไลน์ ได้กล่าวถึงคดีสะเทือนขวัญริมชายแดนไทย-สปป.ลาว ผ่าน เพจชุมชนคนเมืองต้นผึ้ง ว่า เมื่อวันที่ 8 ก.ค. 2563 ได้มีคนร้ายก่อคดีอุกอาจ ใช้อาวุธปืนปล้นเงินในพื้นที่บ่อนคาสิโน โครงการคิงส์โรมัน ในเขตเศรษฐกิจพิเศษดอกงิ้วคำ บริเวณสามเหลี่ยมทองคำ เมืองต้นผึ้ง แขวงบ่อแก้ว สปป.ลาว ตรงข้าม อ.เชียงแสน จ.เชียงราย โดยมีคนขับรถยนต์ใช้อาวุธปืนไล่ยิงรถยนต์ ฮอนด้า ซีอาร์วี สีขาว ทะเบียนภาษาจีน A2FH96 ซึ่งบนรถมีชายจีนอย่างน้อย 3 คน ไล่กันจากเขตคาสิโรคิงส์โรมันไปจนถึงพื้นที่บ้านน้ำเกิงใหม่ เมืองต้นผึ้ง แขวงบ่อแก้ว หลาย ก.ม. เดลินิวส์ -รัฐบาลวอชิงตันประกาศให้ "คิงส์ โรมัน กาสิโน" สถานพนันชื่อกระฉ่อนแห่งสามเหลี่ยมทองคำ เป็น "องค์กรอาชญากรรมข้ามชาติ" และขึ้นบัญชีดำ "ผู้มีบทบาทสำคัญ" 4 คน หนึ่งในนั้นเป็นคนไทย พุธที่ 31 มกราคม 2561 เวลา 07.21 น. แวะเก็บภาพพระเชียงแสนสี่แผ่นดิน หรือ พระพุทธนวล้านตื้อที่ตั้งโดดเด่นเป๋นสง่าบริเวณสามเหลี่ยมทองคำ วันที่เดินทางไปนั้นพบกับทั้งทัวร์จีนหัวดำและทัวร์ฝรั่งหัวทองเดินกันให้วุ่นวายไปหมด ดังนั้นจึงไม่รอช้าคว้ากล้องขึ้นมาถ่ายภาพอย่างเร็วไว เดินเก็บภาพไปเรื่อยๆจนมาถึงบริเวณ... นอกจากนี้เจ้าหน้าที่ยังทำรายงานการสืบสวนให้ ปปง.ตรวจสอบเพื่ออายัดที่ดินของกลุ่มผู้ต้องหาทั้งหมดอีกเกือบ 300 แปลง รวมทั้งรถยนต์รุ่นต่างๆ อีกกว่า 160 คัน ให้แน่ชัดว่าเป็นทรัพย์สินที่ได้มาจากการกระทำผิด หรือการฟอกเงินหรือไม่. ดูราคาที่พักใกล้ คิงส์คาสิโน สำหรับสุดสัปดาห์หน้า, 25 พ.ย.
