Notes

I opened my eyes and blinked the sleep from them. I then slowly sat up and looked around the very white room. It contained 2 beds, 2 night table things, and 2 chest to store memorable things. Then there was a door in the very back for the bathroom.

I wandered to the door in the front of the room and peeked out the little slot. I soon spotted the message board -a box made out of tape on the wall where they occasionally put sticky notes- and to my surprise there was a note.

I squinted my eyes to see the horrible hand writing that the warden of Demente Mental Hospital wrote. In my opinion it is kinda funny because demente in Italian means demented, insane, lunatic, or mad. It was a very fitting name.

My mind soon wandered back to the note, and when my vision finally focused I read it. 'You have a room mate coming -Berry' Wow, I haven't had a room mate. I wonder who was being transferred. Then my thoughts turned sad, I'll probably have to were my blind fold full time.

You see my eyes are 'unnerving' as people put it. One is a milky white and the other is a pinkish purple. Therefore I have to wear a blindfold because of all the complaints.

I've only ever heard of somebody else like me but she never wears a blindfold. Apparently anyone who dared to complain ended up in the hospital ward with a few broken bones.

I soon walked back to the perfectly white bed. Glancing at the clock on the wall that read half past 7, I wondered when they would bring my roommate.

I glanced at the clock again to see it was about 9:54. I was bored of sitting on the bed and I stared pacing. Sitting in the room with my thoughts, you'd think a 14 years old like me should be in school.

Wrong! I was put in here because I 'hallucinate' and I killed my parents. Nobody believed the poor 13 year old who lost their mom and dad so they passed it as shock, and never reopened the case. About 6 months later from that incident I saw another monster.

It was huge and it looked like a dog, except it wasn't. It was deformed and bones were sticking out of it's side meat still attached. It's eyes were red and it had many rows of teeth like a shark. I saw it attacking a civilian.

I instantly pulled out and called 911 reporting what I was seeing, they immediately rushed over. Once they got to the scene the dog was gone, and they said I wasn't allowed to remain out int he open. Apparently I could 'hurt somebody' or 'go on a rampage'.

I heard a door slam and looked up to see a girl. She looked to be my age, and had bright red hair. She was wearing a the normal uniform, except it was black. I have no clue how she pulled that one off.

I watched as she skipped to her bed, she seemed really excited or she was insane. Oh no, did I get an insane one?

"Hi! My name is Lux. I love reading and I'm pretty good at martial arts," Lux said smiling.

It wasn't until then that I noticed her eyes. They were exactly like mine except instead of the pinkish purple her's were a blood red and black.

"Hey, what happen to your eyes?" I blurted out. Instantly I covered my mouth, why am I so stupid?!?

"Same as you I guess I was born like this, and I'm guessing you get the hallucinations, if not forget I asked,"

I pondered if I should tell her about my parents, she seemed... trustful in my eyes.

"I've gotten these hallucinations, actually one of them killed my parents," I said slowly looking at her reaction.

"Wow, that's pretty sad," She said with a far away look. I have to wonder if i reminded her of something or someone. That was the first reaction I got like that. Usually they said sorry or took pity. Never just 'that's sad' and never continued.
