Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December th, 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family of faith, supported by loving and devoted parents. He is the oldest son of the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her faith in God's grace upon her son from an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry includes the entire family. Reverend Ken is Ken's older brother and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren (KattyWorghiren) is the director at the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry. This organization has many gospel artists that are the top-selling across the world.

Pastor Chris has two children: Carissa Sharon und Charlene. Carissa Sharon, who is also referred to by CSO is a CSO member who has decided to follow the footsteps of her father and share the gospel of God the world. She is a talented, award-winning gospel singer and an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to go to Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he graduated with an BSc. in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. Additionally, he holds an honorary doctorate degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where he found his calling to serve the Lord and become a minister.

Pastor Chris: The Mentor
The Man of God began what would later become one of the largest church congregations in the world when he was still at university, with the small group of prayer known as "Youth for Christ," which eventually evolved into the most popular organizations of its type on campus. It would later serve as the basis of the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers around the world.

The LoveWorld ministry was founded under the leadership of Pastor Chris. It is a pioneer in satellite TV, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa 24/7 a day, on free-to air networks. Today, LoveWorld stations can be located on cable and satellite television networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria and also South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church has two Healing Schools, based in South Africa and Canada, in which Pastor Chris hosts sessions throughout the year where the power of God is demonstrated.

Music and Gospel Music are an important element of the worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry choir training. A lot of these vocalists have been successful as soloists under Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's guidance.

The Man of God created a number of NGOs to provide vital services and bring hope for the poor, in need and neglected. COFI is a partnership of five that are committed to improving living standards in some of the most degraded regions.
