Chris Oyakhilome Biography. The Man. The Mentor. The Teacher. And The Philanthropist.

Pastor, faith healer and writer, Chris Oyakhilome is well-known to his followers as Pastor Chris. He is also the president of LoveWorld Incorporated. Also known as Christ Embassy. It is headquartered in Lagos. His unique method of interpreting God's Word has inspired thousands of people around the globe.

Pastor Chris: Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (December 7 63, Nigeria) was born to a family of faith and loving, devoted parents. He is the son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies to God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. God's grace was passed on to her son in the early years of his life.

The LoveWorld ministry is a collaborative effort between the families. Reverend Ken is his brother and the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church. He is also a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry, which is home several top-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon has chosen to follow her father's model of sharing the gospel of God with the world and is also known as CSO, she is a gifted gospel artist, award-winning and a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome received his education at Edo College. He then was awarded a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. Ambrose Ali University was where he discovered his calling to serve the Lord and go into ministry.

While he was at the university, The Man of God established what would later become one of the largest churches worldwide. He began a small prayer group called "Youth for Christ" which would grow into the most popular group of its kind on campus. This could also be the basis for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated, with millions of followers all over the world.

The LoveWorld ministry was founded under the leadership of Pastor Chris. It is a pioneer in satellite television, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT became the first Christian television channel that broadcasts 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air channels. Today, there are LoveWorld television stations on satellite and cable networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy is present in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria and South Africa. It also has strong representation in the United Kingdom, Canada, United States, and South Africa. The ministry has two healing schools located in South Africa.

Music as well as Gospel Music are also an essential part of worship. Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry to train choirs. Many of these singers can develop into successful solo artists because of the guidance of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's inspiration and guidance.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who was a committed patron of charity, established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Inter (COFI) as an independent, non-profit charity that is aiming to aid communities that are most vulnerable and people in the poorest areas of the world.

The Man, God, has established a variety of non-profit organizations with the goal to provide vital aid and provide hope. COFI's five partners all have the same objective: to improve living standards and improve the standard of living in the least developed regions.

COFI is accountable for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), along with the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organisations works to improve the lives of people, health, spirits and wellbeing.
