Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor, faith healer and author, Chris Oyakhilome is well-known to his fans as Pastor Chris. He is also the president of LoveWorld Incorporated. Also known as Christ Embassy. It is based in Lagos. His unique way of presenting God's Word has inspired millions worldwide.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December 7 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family of faith, supported by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the son of the elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. The divine grace of her mother was passed on to her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry includes the entire family. Reverend Ken is his brother and the revered Pastor at Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church. He is also a part of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry which is home several top-selling gospel artists.


Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon, who is also known by the name of CSO is a CSO member who has decided to follow in the footsteps of her father and share the Word of God the world. She is a gifted gospel singer who has won awards and is part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome attended Edo College and was awarded the scholarship of Bendel State University to study architecture. He also holds an honorary doctorate in divinity awarded by the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where he discovered his calling to serve the Lord and go into ministry.

The Man of God began what would later become one of the biggest church congregations in the world when he was still at the university. He had a small prayer group called 'Youth for Christ', which later grew into the most popular groups of its kind on campus. The LoveWorld ministry was founded under Pastor Chris. It's a leader in satellite television, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station broadcast out of Africa to the the world, 24/7, all the time on free-to-air channels. There are LoveWorld television stations on satellite and cable networks all over the globe.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria in addition to South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Two Healing Schools are located in South Africa and Canada. There Pastor Chris holds seasonal sessions that permit the manifestation of miracles.

Music and Gospel Music play an integral aspect of worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches to have a choir that is trained by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry and, under the guidance and guidance of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, a lot of these singers go on to pursue successful solo careers.

The InnerCity Mission for Children The InnerCity Mission for Children Volunteer Medical Corps(VMC), Traga Care International Foundation [TCIFthe Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), and Bible For All Mission are all part of COFI. Bible For All Mission, the Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), and COFI umbrella. Each of these groups strives to improve wellbeing, health, and spirits, especially those who are most vulnerable.
