Berikut ini merupakan ramuan-ramuan yang tergolong sihir hitam:

Dan itu rupanya membutuhkan tubuh penyihir hitam yang keadaan tubuhnya tidak sempurna dan bisa ditempatkan di dalam kuali setelah bahan-bahan telah siap.
2. Ramuan Cinta: Ramuan Cinta (Amortentia) tidak tergolong Hitam bila digunakan bagi Suami-Istri yang sudah berkelurga. Tapi bila digunakan untuk memikat wanita/pria yang lain dan mengontrolnya dapat dikatakan sebagai Ilmu Hitam.
3. Ramuan Polijus: Mengubah diri menjadi orang lain. Berikut adalah bahan-bahannya. Bahan-bahannya:

b. 1 ons mentah mostar
c. 4 Lintah
d. 16 helai Fluxweed
e. 3/8 ons Sal Ammoniac (mengkristalisasi ammoniac, menghasilkan cairan)
f. Knotgrass
g. Bubuk tanduk Bicorn
h. Selongsong kulit ular pohon yang sedang ganti kulit
i. Filings and rasplings dari Salpeter, Planet Merkuri and Mars
j. DNA orang yang akan menjadi target (Harry menggunakan sehelai rambut)
