Three levels of indoor environmental factors, including indoor temperature and low light, have been studied. For the study of office workers, a behavioral/ neurobehavioral test has been proposed. In this test, a field laboratory is built in an office building to imitate an actual office. All office employees are monitored during work hours and for two weeks.
Many windows are installed in offices to let natural light in. This type of natural lighting provides the best visual effect for office workers since it simulates natural sunlight. During the observations, the field laboratory is located in an interior room of the office building. One bright window is placed in front of the office. In this type of office environment, there is no artificial illumination. The indoor environment's primary effect is the temperature change.

The ambient temperature changed significantly over the two-week period in the field laboratory. A mathematical model called the Adaptation Time Curve can be used to describe the effect of temperature on office workers' behavior and physical states. This model predicts how an object's behavior will change depending on time and altitude. It is based on observations at the observation point. It can be used to predict temperature and light as well as any other quantity or class that is affected by the input over time. The ATA curve predicts a U-shaped pattern for temperature. op This is where there is a rapid change in temperature from bright to dark or from cold to warm.

The field lab is not equipped with offices so office workers' physical well-being cannot be measured using a self-paced visual analog scale. VASA isn't sensitive to indoor environmental quality changes and therefore cannot be used to measure physical well-being. Office workers productivity and motivation can only then be measured using objective parameters. The Performance Level Index (PLI) can be used to measure office workers' performance and motivation.

There are four factors that we consider when measuring indoor environment quality. These factors are total lighting intensity, background temperature, air flow conditioner (AFC) efficiency, and relative humidity (R). Because low levels of illumination can prevent heat conduction from central cooling fans to interior surfaces, the ALC efficiency is directly affected by total lighting intensity and background temperatures. Poor airflow conditioner efficiency also prevents heat from reaching interior surfaces. Air flow conditioners with lower efficiency results in increased levels of indoor temperature and hence poor indoor climate quality. Relative humidity directly influences the comfort ability of office occupants because high levels of humidity reduce perspiration.

The type of lighting in an office room can affect AFC efficiency. Bright lighting has a significant impact on heat conduction efficiency. In offices, it may be difficult to observe a significant effect of lighting on ALC. Observed differences could either be the result of differing levels of light intensity or variations in ambient room temperature. If the indoor temperature is close to the outdoor temperature (T temp), then any difference in T temps will be small.

AFC is a powerful tool to improve the quality of office air. It can improve office work performance by regulating indoor temperature, humidity, and the ALC reaction. It can also help reduce the temperature differential between the A/C and the external environment. This improves the indoor environment's quality.

The perception of the environment is a key factor in office workers' motivation and performance. They can measure this perception by observing the different aspects of the indoor environment quality. Indoor lighting can have a significant impact on office workers' performance and motivation. We measured this motivational effect of illumination by using a psychological test battery. This test battery consisted of a simple questionnaire where office workers were required to indicate how much they felt like working and how much they were motivated to work.
