Youtube keeps promoting ads on my child's Youtube channel while they watch videos about babies such as baby shark or other channels similar to it.

This is the question I have been asking for the past two months, since I started giving my young baby girl the tablet with all the Youtube channels that are specifically created with babies in mind. All of them are said to help babies with their development in cognitive, social and other areas, as well as helping them socially and mentally. I'm not sure why you have to include commercials. My child is not a consumer, why do you insist on pushing at times not baby-like advertisements on my child, Youtube?

The first reason is that babies aren't capable of comprehending commercials. It's both a loss of money as well as a loss of resources. They're not babies. If they don't understand what you are saying, why play those ads to them as little infants? Is that in case the father or mother, or maybe other baby care providers are watching, then they will benefit from the ads? It's a bit unclear to me, and it is getting irritating.

It's the same with cat videos. I've recently discovered my cat enjoys watching these amazing cat videos. Usually it's some mice or birds however the main thing is that my cat is without moving for hours... It's like hunting I guess. Those videos are constantly interrupted by advertisements. Who is it they are trying to convince? My cat is not an avid viewer of these videos. Advertisements aren't her thing. They could be hoping that I'm watching them alongside my cat. It could be that they are partially right. Sometimes I find myself watching funny videos for cats while playing with my cat.


So I found a great solution that I have been using recently. It is basically boils down to downloading Youtube videos onto my computer or tablet of my daughter and then playing them from that device later, as if I was offline and required a more robust copy of the video on my hard drive instead of streaming it over and over from Youtube. Do you get what I'm referring to? I came across this site that allows me keep videos on my computer rather than having to access it via Youtube whenever my cat wishes to see birds. It allows me to double-click on an mp4 file to my computer. youtubedownload It is played in VLC immediately and doesn't contain any advertisements.

Just search for the videos my daughter enjoys watching and then download them onto my computer and transfer them to my table. Sometimes, it's just 1 or 2 songs. If the videos are big they are copied onto her tablet. However it's much simpler to access the website straight from my desktop. Maybe it's just me as an old school person I am...
