Hello and goodmorning/goodafternoon members of the grant proposal committee. we are (Sana,Hailey,Yaseen and Hassan) and we are the besets. Today we have a great idea to present to you and we think it can be better than its competitor in many ways. (Yaseen)
Main idea:
Our main idea is to create a helmet out of paper, resin and foam. The shell will be completely made from paper with resin covering the holes on the helmet and we will add foam to the inside of the helmet to make it feel more comfortable.(Hassan)
Details:
now you might be thinking how is making a helmet out of paper going to help? isn't it going to be very weak? well 28-year-old industrial designer Isis Shiffer was tired of lugging around her own helmet, so she took matters into her own hands and now she has created a sustainable paper helmet. for our idea we want to demonstrate how strong her helmet is compared to a normal biking helmet with making a few changes.(Sana)
Why should you care?
You should care because safety is the number one priority of any sport and our helmet can provide that. there has been around 4,5000 biking injuries over the past year and we want to decrease the number of injuries by encouraging people to wear helmets while riding bikes since our helmet could be more comfortable and affordable than other biking helmets(Hailey)
