Not only are the fairways more difficult to cover with golf equipment, but more often than not, there is more risk of injuring yourself on a rough course. The best way to prevent this type of problem is to take a deep breath before committing to purchase a new set of clubs and begin practicing on the same golf course that is being used for your tournament. Also, find a course that has adequate signage, including directional signs and one or more park benches. As previously mentioned, the golf balls tend to lose more air as the temperature rises so practicing on a frozen pond is not going to help your game. In addition, make sure to check to see if the course has any safety equipment available and hire a lifeguard whenever possible.

Another big danger to watch for is what can happen to your property. If your property is near or on the water, there is a chance that there will be larger objects getting dragged across by the water on a daily basis. Also, over time, large tree limbs may break off from the roots and fall into the water, causing great damage to your home and other property. While most people are aware of this possibility, the average golfer rarely considers it.

If startup are planning on hosting a Presidents' Day tournament on the bridge pool, be aware that the area is also a great candidate for "woods-boring" days. There are large stands of trees that will continually fall in the area without any warning. In addition, there is always the risk of someone getting injured by falling branches or heavy tree limbs. The best course will try to mitigate all potential hazards to the best of their ability, but it is important for tournament goers to take the above issues into consideration.
