Tevfik Arif's Bayrock Group, the Trump Organization and the Sapir Organization joined forces in opening the Trump SoHo in 2008.

Tevfik Atif's route to Trump and New York City
Tevfik Aif was born in Soviet Kazakhstan, to Turkish parents. He obtained a degree from the Moscow Trade and Economic Institute (International Relations) in 1953.

He then worked for the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade and Trade, where he served as the deputy director of their Hotel Management Department.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization met to discuss collaborating on other real estate projects for development in Florida and Arizona after the opening of Trump SoHo.

The buildings were terribly hit by the financial crisis of 2008 that impacted the realty market.

Bayrock Group was an active American company that was investing in real estate properties valued at more than $2.5 billion. However, the group has not pursued any new American real-estate development projects in recent times.
