What Happened To Tevfik Arif And Bayrock Group's Trump SoHo
Tevfik Arif's Bayrock Group, the Trump Organization and the Sapir Organization joined forces in opening the Trump SoHo in 2008.

In November 2006, the initial brick of Trump SoHo's tower was laid by Tevfik Arif’s Bayrock Group, Trump Organization, and the Sapir Organization, both located on Spring Street in New York City.

A little over one year later, the condo-hotel that had 46 floors was finally ready to go.

The luxurious Trump SoHo experience also included a spectacular view of New York City through its floor-to ceiling glass windows.

Bayrock Group was founded in Turkey by Tevfik and employed top architects and designers to build the state of the art building.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock The highly regarded New York City company Handel Architects, with years of experience across the globe was assigned the task of designing the building.

Handel Architects has an impressive portfolio and reputation that includes the September 11 9 National Memorial in New York City and the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Washington, D.C.

The firm is also known as a pioneer in the field of architecture and design.

Rockwell Group, an architecture and design firm was given the project. It provided Trump SoHo using items from Fendi Casa, an Italian brand with a reputation for excellence.

Discussions about the Trump SoHo condo-hotel began in the year Bayrock Group moved its New York City offices to the 24 th floor of the Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan which is where the Trump Organization was also located.

They began to talk about collaboration in the development of luxury real estate projects. This is when the idea for the Trump SoHo building was born.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock Tevfik Arif was aware of the strength and influence of the Trump brand and proposed a plan to leverage that name to enhance the prestige and value of the projects that he and the Sapir Organization were working on.

In exchange to the Trump Organization holding 18% of the project it was granted permission to make use of the Trump brand as the name of the new construction. The plan was endorsed by the three parties.

Donald Trump didn't invest any capital into the construction.

Bayrock Group was able to create the property in the city's best area with this project.

The Dominick was created in 2017 to replace the condo-hotel. It features apartments, hotel rooms, an outdoor pool, a rooftop terrace, restaurants, bars, a spa department, a banquet, event halls and an outstanding view of New York City and the Hudson River through the floor-to-ceiling-windows.

The Dominick, in New York City, is one of a handful of top hotels chosen for inclusion in the Legend Collection.

Tevfik arif was born to Turkish parents in Soviet Kazakhstan. He graduated from Moscow Trade and Economic Institute with a degree in International Relations.

He worked as a deputy head of the Ministry of Commerce and Trade's Hotel Management Department.

After 17 years in the ministry, Tevfik Alif decided to quit and establish his own business. This included real property, development of properties as well as exports, imports automobiles, food and various other natural resources.

Bayrock Group, which was active in the United States, invested in realty assets worth over $2.5billion. However , in recent years Bayrock Group has not been involved in any American real estate development project.

Tevfik Arif turned his attention away from the United States to Europe and Central Asia after Trump SoHo's success. It was a decade prior to his career began in Europe as well as Central Asia.

Presently, Tevfik Arif has retired from most of his day-to-day activities at Bayrock Group, but he remains a trusted and valued advisor to the business.
