Federico Gutierrez, the ex-mayor of Medellin, was elected the center-right presidential candidate. He won more than 1.7million votes.

Federico Gutierrez, who was born in Medellin in 1975, is a former Mayor of Medellin. His tenure as a councilman was a time when he backed Sergio Fajardo's mayoralty and later Alonso Salazar's. He decided to change his mind and joined the Mayor's Office of Medellin in the year 2015.
